Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder (to season)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
- Optional: pickles, diced onions, burger sauce for serving
Instructions
1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until hot.
2. Press a small handful of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla and season well.
3. Place the tortilla beef-side down onto the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned.
4. Flip the tortilla so the beef is facing up. Sprinkle with cheese and fold in half.
5. Grill on both sides for 1–2 minutes until golden and the cheese has melted.
6. Transfer to a cutting board, slice into wedges, and serve with toppings or dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra-crispy edges, brush the outside of the tortilla lightly with butter before grilling.
You can swap cheddar for mozzarella, pepper jack, or Colby Jack.
To reheat, use a skillet or air fryer for best results.
