Passion Fruit Margarita Punch

Passion Fruit Margarita Punch

Looking for a big-batch cocktail that screams tropical vacation and delivers on flavor, flair, and fun? Enter the Passion Fruit Margarita Punch—a refreshing twist on the classic margarita that’s designed for parties, barbecues, and get-togethers. This punch-style margarita blends tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and sweet & sour mix with vibrant passion fruit juice and a hint of orange for balance. The result? A bold, fruity cocktail that’s sweet, tangy, and irresistibly drinkable. Best of all, it’s made by the gallon—so your guests can keep sipping without missing a beat.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups tequila (preferably blanco or reposado)
  • 1 cup triple sec (or any quality orange liqueur)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 cups sweet & sour mix (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 cups passion fruit juice (unsweetened for best balance)
  • 1 to 2 cups orange juice (adjust for sweetness)
  • 1 cup fresh orange slices
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 2 to 3 limes, sliced into rounds
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fruit

Wash and slice your fresh fruit. Cut oranges into half-moons, hull and halve the strawberries, and slice the limes into thin rounds. These will infuse the punch with fresh citrus notes and make each glass look extra festive.

Step 2: Choose Your Container

Use a clean gallon-sized container, large pitcher, or punch bowl. This recipe is designed for volume, so make sure the container is large enough to hold all the ingredients with room for stirring.

Step 3: Add the Fruit

Place the sliced oranges, strawberries, and lime rounds into the bottom of your container. The fruit will act as a natural garnish and release flavor as it sits in the mixture.

Step 4: Combine the Liquids

Pour in the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, sweet & sour mix, passion fruit juice, and orange juice. If you’re unsure about the sweetness level, start with 1 cup of orange juice and taste before adding more.

Step 5: Stir and Chill

Stir everything thoroughly to combine. Cover and refrigerate the punch for at least 1–2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the fruit to infuse the liquid. Serve over ice and enjoy chilled.

Notes

  • You can make the punch up to 24 hours ahead. Just hold off on adding the ice until you’re ready to serve to avoid dilution.
  • Homemade sweet & sour mix can elevate the flavor. Simply mix 1 part lemon juice, 1 part lime juice, and 1 part simple syrup.
