Ingredients
3 large ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced
2 cups all-purpose cream, well-chilled
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk, chilled
1 (7-ounce) pack Graham crackers
1/4 cup milk (optional, for dipping crackers)
Instructions
1. In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the all-purpose cream until light, fluffy, and holding soft peaks.
2. Gradually pour in the chilled sweetened condensed milk while continuing to whip until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
3. Place a single layer of graham crackers at the bottom of a rectangular dish. (Optional: Quickly dip each cracker in milk first for a softer texture).
4. Spread a generous layer of the cream mixture over the crackers.
5. Arrange a layer of sliced mangoes over the cream.
6. Repeat the layers (crackers, cream, mangoes) until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream on top.
7. Garnish the top with extra mango slices or crushed graham crackers.
8. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, though overnight is best for the perfect cake-like texture.
Notes
Ensure the cream and condensed milk are very cold before whipping to achieve the right consistency.
Use the most fragrant, ripe mangoes you can find for the best flavor.
The longer it chills, the more the crackers soften into a sponge-cake-like texture.
Store covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
